Networking to Build Your Business
One way to get the message out about your business while seeking support and mentorship is by joining a networking group.

Vancouver Board of Trade (VBOT).
VBOT is a networking organization with a twist. Called "Positive Networking", members of the VBOT focus on what they can do for others rather than just what others
can do for them. The big bonus of this style of networking is that in the end, it can bring you the sales and referrals you want as well as the solid business

There are 5,600 members in the Vancouver Board of Trade, with 600 regular events a year, plus Business Roundtables, Business Bootcamps, a complimentary membership to the

BNI (Business Networking International)
BNI is sophisticated, structured networking program which focusses on bringing business referrals to the members in each chapter or group through word-of-mouth.
There are more than 250 chapters across Canada. The BNI strategy relies on generating business referrals within one's many diverse networks. Each chapter's members carry
cards of all other members; when a "prospect" is met, the business card and testimonial information is shared and a referral is often created.
